Plodding On
Still finding myself hovering between surreal limbo and numb disbelief, but days will come and go whatever and I thought it necessary to make an entry on this most auspicious of dates.

Not only is it 11/11/11 and Veteran's day, but it is the sixty-seventh wedding anniversary of my Mum and Dad. *Cry* If they are now reunited somewhere, they'll no doubt be involved in petty disputes or La La Land conversations.

Because of renovation work at the Crematorium there is only one chapel open at present, which means there's a backlog and we can't hold Dad's funeral until next Wednesday. That doesn't help with moving forward or coming to terms with things. There will obviously be loads to do before and afterwards, but for the moment it's unsettling knowing we still have our last goodbyes ahead.

I was also reminded on Wednesday I've been a member of WDC for ten years. *Shock* What a ten years it's been, but I wouldn't have missed all the fun, friendship, support and shared writing for the world. I won't even think about another ten years. We never know what a day can bring, which my blog bears witness to on many occasions.

In other news my hubby's brother dropped a bombshell we could well have done without. He's never married and although he travels a lot, still lives at home with hubby's 97-year-old Mum when he's in England. We see little of him, but that's for the best believe me. At least when he's here it takes the load off us to some extent. He's presently in New Zealand and has just announced he's been offered a job there with free accommodation and will be moving there permanently after Humbug. His Mum doesn't know yet, but it's going to leave us in a position where it will still be difficult to travel far or be free of responsibility.

Maybe I'll have to start going places without hubby. Have the pretty pink pigs flown over yet?
