The Monster in My Closet
Day 26: January 26, 2012 ~ 30-day Blog Challenge prompt is Write about what one would see in your closet right now. What's the most valuable thing you keep inside of it that didn't come from a store? Explain! Invite us in! Some ideas could be: -You know you have to throw it away but, why haven't you? -I've been keeping ______ in my closet for as long as I remember... Because ______.

My closet is stuffed so full my mother’s clothes and my clothes that you would think there was no room for Seymour, but apparently, Closet Monsters have the ability to change size in order to fit into a closet. Closet Monsters also have the ability to become invisible so that no one can see them, but he is there. I know he lives in my closet because I hear weird noises and the clothes move. At least, the clothes appear to move from one side to the other. Therefore, I either Closet Monster lives there or I do not remember which side of the closet I hang a dress or skirt.

Seymour is the only thing in my closet that did not come from a store. Seymour is also the only thing in my closet that remains permanently in my life and the closet. Seymour has been in my life/closet for the past 65 years. He moved into my closet when I was a child in Oklahoma. He followed me to Las Vegas over 25 years ago.

I am still not sure how he got to Las Vegas from Oklahoma. There three possibilities, the first one being one my suitcases, Seymour could have shrunk himself to fit in one of them. Then there is the black hole theory, he simply walked through a black hole to move from Blackwell, Oklahoma to Las Vegas, Nevada. The third possibility is teleportation; Seymour could have simply teleported himself from one geographic area to another.
