Day 3: February 3, 2012 ~ 30-day Blog Challenge prompt is What is your favorite inspirational quote and why do you like this quote?

I like this quote because it gives me something to strive for everyday. A person can find riches and wealth in other things besides material items or money. A person is rich who sees the beauty in a sunrise or sunset and is inspired to write a poem or a song.

To make today better then yesterday, all I have to do is smile at another human being. To make today better then yesterday, I only have to be of service to humanity. I can make today better then yesterday when I stop at a red light and leave enough room for another car that is coming out of a parking lot to enter the traffic lane.

Each day is a new chance to strive toward unity and peace. With so many different forces attempting to separate the human race into factions each person has a chance to make things better by asking questions and finding out the facts for him or herself or changing his or her perceptions and attitudes.

It takes effort to make today better then yesterday and tomorrow better then today, but it is worth the effort. Because only in striving for a better today and tomorrow can we accomplish the goals we set yesterday and in this way we help our souls and spirits grow in happiness and peace.
