What to do when your neighbor's baby has a seizure.

Step one:
Find out if somebody is already calling 911. If not, call 911 while directing hysterical mother to perform step two.

Step two:
Secure baby on his right side on the floor. On a blanket if there is one. Yes, the floor. Who's already on the floor can't fall down in case of a new seizure. Think about it.

Step three:
Comfort crying mother. Talk to baby, no matter if lucid or not.

Step four:
Send all other children to a third neighbor.

Step five:
Clear the area of obstructions so emergency personnel have space for their equipment.

Step six:
Once emergency personnel works on child, make sure mom has shoes, her cell phone, and a little cash as she will be driven to the hospital with her baby on the gurney.

Step seven:
Inquire about child's well-being the next day.

Step eight:
Hug your children and thank the universe for no seizures.

If in any way possible, do not repeat or try at home.
