Enga mellom fjella: where from across the meadow, poems sing from mountains and molehills.

Turning 30,000.
After 20,000 ...age shouldn't matter.

ME:

It's 08:40 in Costa Rica. I'm in Costa Rica... even though my body isn't totally convinced. Wide awake at 03:30? Gimme a break. *Laugh* There's 8 hours time difference (just like Australia ...in the other direction). Completely messes with the body.

Weather:

Hot in the morning if there aren't any clouds. Today dawned misty after a late shower in the evening. Figure on 30 during the day and 20 at night. My body will get use to this quickly. Norway was much colder. Nearly froze in Trondheim.

Friends:

Have seen a few. This cheers me up. With more time on my hands (read ...bored) I'll be catching up on facebook, here at WDC, by Skype. I need to keep in touch. If I don't I get depressed. Some folks will never know how much they mean to me.

Senses:

Sight; mist
Sound: dogs and birds
Smell? coffee
Taste; egg with white cheese on a sweet bread (pan casero)
Touch: my butt on the sofa *Bigsmile*

News:

Yahoo reports a cure for AIDS ...but I already knew about that. Not as important as what the Khardasians are doing now isn't it... *Rolleyes*. For those not aware: there is a gene Delta 32 that provides immunity from AIDs. This is old news. Although less than 1% of the population has this gene it's over 5% in Sweden where my ancestors came from (a gift left over from the plague). My bitch? Why isn't there more testing? Money to provide the blood or bone transplants necessary? Yes, it would cost. But... probably less than what this presidential race will waste on advertising. *Pthb*

Writing:

I went to writer's group last night. Dragged my sorry tired ass there. One person presented two poems. One a tribute to a person, the other a death/aging poem. Since death and aging are overly done themes, I tried to explain that I didn't find the poem interesting language-wise or otherwise. The other poem I really liked!

I haven't been writing much since March. Hardly at all in Norway. But ...the Muse is back biting at my ankles. *Smile*

Blogs:

While I was having "fun" in Norway this boggity blog went over 30,000! Not bad since it hasn't exactly been brilliant ...for a long time! *Rolleyes*
