ME:

A bit better now. Had to go to the bank of course since I didn't have any money after yesterday's fiasco. But ...I forgot that and went to the soda first, ate, then remembered I didn't have enough to pay for the pinto con ceviche. Fortunately they know me well. Went directly to bank.

Writer's meeting went well. Read two poems. The first one got thumbs up. The second? Mixed.

I need to get my act together and have a proposal for writer workshops ready by Sunday. Sounds easy? I'm already obligated to show up in the park tomorrow for el poema gigante...

Goals:

Not exactly meeting any goals at the moment. At times I get into a bit of a lull. Or, in this case after not having internet, distracted by catching up. But I did write a couple poems today, wrote in my journal, did two blogs...

10 pm = 12 midnight:

Almost forgot to post in time! The two hour difference confuses me. Costa Rica is on CA time (Central America...) and that is the same as Central during the "winter" and Mountain (as in Montana) during the "summer". Of course our "seasons" are also reversed so at some point I just need to know the time here as it always stays the same year round.

Athletics

Watched a bit of the heptathlon. Amazing! Now that the track and field events have opened I suspect we'll see more of the smaller nations do well. Some sports are very expensive.

How did we meet?

My facebook question is actually getting responses. Mostly from WdC folk. The other responses are quite interesting as I don't always remember. Shannon in line for ice cream? Mira on the stairs? Roni on the bus... yes, I remember that. Also met Jaime on the bus and met Rife while waiting for a bus. 13 lovely comments so far.
