A Pegasus with a unicorn horn
Wednesday, August 22, 2012 ~ Day 22 of the 30-Day Blogging Challenge prompt is "Using a work of fiction, that is not your own, what creature would like to have as a pet?"

I have thought about this all day. The pet I would like to have is a Pegasus with a unicorn-like horn. I am not sure where in my reading I encountered this creature. I am not sure what of the name of this creature, but I want this creature as a pet.

I have read so many books of fiction over the years. This creature has remained with me. This is the first creature that came to mind when I read the question. I have racked my brain concerning this animal, but I still cannot remember the name of the story or even the author.

I can visualize this creature flying. I can visualize its golden horn glistening in the sun, but I cannot remember the name of the story or the author. I know I read the story several years ago, but I do not know what happened to the book. Perhaps I checked the book out of the library. Perhaps I read the story in a science fiction and fantasy magazine. The only thing I remember about the creature is its description.

If I could remember, the name of the author or the title of the story I would do a search of the internet. It is strange sometimes I remember the name of an author or the title of a story and parts of the plot, but in this case, I only remember the creature. I am not even sure why I remember the creature; perhaps because I find these two mythological animals I find fascinating.
