Another plate full of the meat and vegetables of my life. |
It's certainly true time flies when you're enjoying yourself. It's also true slow internet connections mean less time spent online and makes posting photos virtually impossible. Seems that will have to wait until I return to my trusty Mac at home. We're now settled in Nashville in a comfortable hotel and overdosing on honky tonk and country music. Not my favourite genre I must admit, but hubby loves it and the atmosphere everywhere is very convivial. It is rather cooler than San Diego and I suspect Boston will be even cooler, so it will be a good way of preparing for our return to winter in England. I've enjoyed spending longer in places this trip and getting to know places better. Each place is very different, but all have their own appeal and everywhere we've been people have been extremely kind and helpful. I think the English could learn a lot about courtesy and manners from America. Meeting with relatives and Sheila in San Diego were certainly highlights I shall treasure once we're home. Sheila kindly presented me with a book she'd made for our grandmonsters. I know they'll love it and we shall add that to our treasured memories too. But for now I look forward to seeing the fall in Boston... Maybe the internet connection will be better too. |
