Tempus Fugit Even More
I've had several reviews of my writing this last week. That's most unusual lately and quite a pleasant surprise. It seems Account Birthdays are now highlighted for reviewing. I didn't know that. There are still so many things I haven't tackled or learned on this site, despite being a member for eleven years.

Yes, eleven years. *Shock* It shocked me too. Where have all those years gone since I first signed up to WDC or Stories.Com as it was back then? In some ways not a lot has changed, in other areas life has altered dramatically and I think I've had my fair share of heartache and anxiety over the last decade or so. No good brooding about it I know as the past cannot be changed unfortunately and the future not something to contemplate too often. One day at a time has become my Mantra, though it's a difficult one to put into practice. But one thing I have learned over the past few years is we should take nothing for granted as none of us know what a day can bring.

Okay, enough of that serious stuff. I don't want to exhaust my one remaining brain cell. Of course there have been reasons to celebrate and things to appreciate during my long membership here. Not forgetting some of the amazing friendships I have made. I didn't imagine those years would include three trips to the USA and meeting some wonderful people there.

It's only a week since we returned, but it now seems like a lifetime ago and there is already so much on the agenda the hamster in a wheel feeling is rapidly returning. But before I get bogged down with family, housework, gardening, paperwork and the inevitable humbug hype *Pthb* I'm determined to at least make a start on some sort of record of our trip. It gets more complicated every time with all this new technology, but I have at least made a start on sorting photographs. It could take the next eleven years to complete it all if I live that long, but as I said one day at a time...

Today I put the first set of photos into a Picasa album. Best viewed as a slideshow if anyone wishes to peruse.
