My soul is my most prized possession

The part of me
which eyes can't see
except
as the reflection
of rainbow scattered light.

Call it what you will
spirit
or soul,
a label only deepens the mystery
of the part of me
that lives eternally.

My soul
is my reality,
my physical body
the equine
my spirit rides
though matter's battlefield.
