Two Methods of Healing: Material and Spiritual

The April 3, 2013 prompt for "Blogging Circle of Friends Prompt Forum"  is
If you needed it, would you use medical treatments that skirt the edge of legality,
such as certain herbal treatments, or medical marijuana (depending on your state)?

Would I use edgy or unprecedented medical treatments if necessary? The answer to this question is "I don't know" or "It depends". My decision would depend on what my doctor said, on what the doctor I consulted for a second opinion said, on what available medical studies revealed about the results of the treatment, whether or not my medical insurance would pay part of the cost, and, last but not least, prayer.

I believe that healing comes through two methods. One method is material, so I have to consult a doctor to see what she or he says about any type of purposed treatment or medication. The second method of healing is spiritual, which comes through prayer or connecting with the Creator. I believe both of these methods are necessary for the healing of an individual. I believe that these methods should be used in conjunction rather then separately so that the patient has the best chance of recovery.

Each day say a healing prayer
for those who are ill;
supplicate the Lord
and ask a blessing for the doctor.
