Now I'm Fixed

What a day!! The first part of it found me ambling around at a flea market looking for treasures. Once you find what you want the gates of heaven seem to open if only for an instant. I settled for some junk food types of items. One persons junk is another persons treasure. I will enjoy my stash. Going to events like this are the one guilty pleasure I relish.

The fixed car engine was the highlight of the day. I continue to be in awe of the mechanic, who happens to be my buddy. I can only watch in hope and angst. Can this alternator even find it's way into the place it came out of.

"Get me a hammer. I'll show that alternator who's boss."

It's good my buddy was there. My religion was coming loose and all of a sudden it was going to take more than a wrench to get it back in place. Thank God for persons that are patient and are able to see a project like this through. It only took a little over an hour to get in the alternator and adjust the belt. It felt like we were under the engine for decades and even centuries. This was God's big test! Only God knows if I passed it. My muscles feel achy in all the wrong places and by the end of the project I had grease on me from head to toe. At the end of the project I can tell you now that I'm fixed. All that heavy hell and damnation preaching is nothing compared to finding the courage to repair a car in dire need of salvation. As an uncle once said;

"Hang on for the ride".

I once thought my ability to be in such a situation to be impossible. Now I know beyond a shadow of a doubt, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. (even aid in the reparation of a a car).
