The Dream
August 25, 2013

Every once in a while a dream piques my interest. I am just waking up from a dream that spoke to the spiritual side of me trying to sneak out of a dark barren wilderness. I am with other believers as I exercise the trying of my convictions. I am called to frequent the world of persons that drink beer to share understanding that this world might teach other. I share the universal need to escape pains in whatever form they take. I choose not to drink and yet I feel empathy. Some persons can not find God, because God seems to be aloof in a church away from the despair of a broken world. In the dream I feel a bit of shame about even risking to enter this world for a time and consider the consequences of imbibing the truth. Soon after I am assaulted by ruffians and somehow escape. I wake up from the dream. Or is there a sense that hidden in the dream is reality that calls for redemption of those that seem to be forever outcast and lost?
