A Walk Down Memory Lane: I used Keep a Pen and Paper Journal
I used to keep a pen and paper journal, but when I got a computer I stopped writing my journal by hand and put it into a computer document. I am cleaning out a bookcase in my bedroom and I found several of those journals. I am putting them in a trunk, so that I can put them into storage until I move. I also found a partially blank book, which I started to use for something else. I am going to start writing in it this evening. After it is filled, I will purchase another blank book to use as a journal.

I enjoyed keeping a journal by hand. It was fun, creative, and it helped me deal with some of the issues in my life. I am not sure what year I stopped keeping my personal journal in that manner. I think I stopped when I realized that I lost a journal while riding or waiting for a bus. That was during one of the times I did not have a car to drive. I know I will enjoy keeping a journal the old fashion way and it will help me listen to my muse. Lately, I seem to be hearing the negative voice in my head that says I cannot write or some other such nonsense.

In addition, I found my copy of The Book of Forms by Lewis Turco. I have been looking for this book for a couple of years. I considered purchasing a copy, but I would have had to order it through the bookstore and at the time I did not feel that was a good idea. I think it was my gut telling me that I would find the book. Now all I have to do is decide which other books I want to keep beside my personal journals and Mr. Turco's book. I will not put the journal or The Book of Forms in any of the trunks I am packing because I want to keep them beside my bed or in my purse, which is where I used to keep them.

Food for Thought: "Almost every morning I write in my journal. I've been keeping it for a long time - I've filled more than 50 books. I write about what's going on in my personal and spiritual life or what's going on at work. It helps me keep things in perspective, especially when things get crazy or I get stressed or we have obstacles." - Blake Mycoskie
