A Son's Offering

This was the first year that I have been honored to be my son's guest for Christmas. It put a different twist on what is meant by God, the Father sending the Son.

I went to Christmas Eve service with his wife and two kids. Afterwards we ate a fantastic dinner. He told me the cheese dip was President Carter's favorite. The shrimp caserole dish is my new favorite. The next day I spent some time with the kids while we waited for breakfast. I can imagine what the Father up above felt as His Son invited God the Father to his own ministry of love and healing. There are many ways to think of being rich. I am richest when I see in the persons of my children a faith from God that is real.
