My skin feels tight
The horse keeps neighing

One child is crying
Another needs help
What does it matter
That I itch up and down?

No food in the cupboards
The electric’s off
The phone won’t charge
Haven’t paid any bills

It seemed so simple

No money in my wallet
No milk in the fridge

Perhaps I completely misinterpreted this song, but this is what I got out of it -- great sadness and the desire to start again, to break through from a life that's gone in a very bad direction.

P.S. The name of the horse is Heroin.
