Mom's Reality
I decided to talk with my mom about her physical condition, since no one else was offering a lot of clarity about what was going on with her. She has aphasia, so that it is difficult to understand words. There were times that I needed to repeat over and over again what she was saying.

"I'm ok, God answers prayers. I am not going to let this get me down. The doctor says I do not have that upper neuron stuff/Lou Gehrig's disease stuff."
"What about all the talk about you needing a feeding tube?"
"I am going to be ok. The doctor say that I had a couple strokes and a heart attack. He also let me know I have a lot more than five years to look forward to." (this was the amount of years that the neurology doctor was giving her.)
Just keep praying.

The conversation continued with this mood. Near the end I could not understand her and my step father said she was wanting me to read Isaiah 40:13. And I will realizing that God always gives hope that others take away. To God be the glory
