Blog City – Day 94 – June 5

Prompt: What is your favorite rainy day movie?

Now does it have to be raining in the movie or a movie I watch when it is raining? Given that I can't think of any movie where it is raining, I am thinking it is a movie I would watch while it is raining. Well that can be anything but I stay in the romantic frame of mind. One movie I like to put on is the BBC's version of Pride and Prejudice - the one with Colin Firth as Mr. Darcy. It is a six hour series but I can find, since I have seen it many times, that I can fall asleep and awake to still know what is going on.

Border for my personal use.

Pivotal historic event.

I want to try to remember something worthy of this prompt but I am caught on another's idea of the Great Depression - which is, without doubt, a pivotal historic event.

I could mention the World War's as well - taking young men and women away from their families. The fears of never seeing those loved ones again. The trauma of the returning soldiers to their families - never the same again.

I also think of historic speeches, like those of Martin Luther King, that help to change the course of time.
