My Muse is Calling
My muse is calling,
shouting at me in my dreams
waking me
in the middle of the night
to write.

My muse is calling
as I sit waiting
for the light to change
from red to green
encouraging me to write
an ode to the traffic light.

My muse is calling
while I wait for the coffee to brew
encouraging me to write a few
stanzas to my coffeemaker.
