Mis-steps and Mis-cues
I accepted what I thought was a wedding invitation for tonight. It was not. It was a reception. This fiasco has taught me one thing ... well two things...first, read the invitation carefully and if you are going to crash a wedding reception, take a partner in crime. If I had someone to bounce jokes off, no one would have said a thing. As it was, they just stared at me wondering who the heck I was. Since I only knew the bride and groom, it was simply uncomfortable.

I would like to say this will be forever ingrained in my memory, but I don't have a thyroid, so all I can hope for is maybe I will forever remember part of it...but the truth is, I think I will only remember the part where I embellish it to be past the point of recognition.
