13 Days Of Halloween Challenge Day 1
Prompt: Use these words in a poem or short story: sensibility, black, grief, happy, plain.

It was a small plain house
with pumpkins and a beautiful
black cat sitting on the porch.
A little old woman lived here alone.

The woman had known a lot of grief
and was a recluse. It was Halloween
night and children were afraid to visit
but the little goblins went to her door.

The children knocked on the door.
A witch answered the door and the
children almost lost their sensibility.
The witch smiled. It was just a costume.

She passed out big bags of candy. She was
happy for awhile. Later, it rained and the
woman and her black cat curled up on the
couch to watch TV. Another Halloween done.

Jane Austen and Pumpkin Image. I thought this was so neat. Jane holding a pumpkin.
