Work Dilemma
I'm only working part-time these days. My hours were cut back after New Year's Day. I'm told that's typical of this company. If I can stick it out until spring, the hours will increase a little. Then they won't go down so much next year. I'm of two minds.

I need more money. I can get another part-time job, or I can just get one decent job. In the current economy, the likelihood of getting one full-time job is not as good as finding another part-time job to coordinate with this one. Employers are trying to avoid benefits. Benefits at this stage of life aren't as important as wages to me. The answer depends on what's available.

On the other hand, I take care of my aging father. He provides my room and board and car insurance. He's getting more feeble and requires more of my time. Being off more hours allows me to clean up after him, drive him to doctors (which is frequent), as well as to pursue my own interests. I hate job hunting. I lean in this latter direction. However, I have to find a way to spend less money. I'm depleting all my savings. My health insurance payment alone takes my entire monthly wage at these hours.

I really want to hold onto my free time, but I have to make more money. So I have my answer. I need to go job hunting.
