GetTV
My dad likes exploring all the numbers on Dish TV. I stop usually at the top number I frequent. I'm not interested in the music channels, etc. Well, recently, they've expanded, adding some cheaper channels in those upper numbers. He's discovered one called GetTV. I joined him watching an old movie where Glen Ford and William Holden were both so young, we could barely recognize them.

It turns out this is the kind of channel I've been hoping for. It is aimed apparently at the over 50 crowd, running shows and movies from the 80's and before. I anticipate watching some very early Barbara Stanwyck movies this Friday, since I'm not working that day. She did five movies with Frank Capra and two will be featured with commentary.

Today, another no work day (slow business, fewer hours), I wanted to ride the stationary bicycle early, since I have so many things to do at night, like make my WDC midnight deadlines. I took the book I'm trying to finish by Bill O'Reilly, but I turned on GetTV just for kicks. They were running The Equalizer with Edward Woodward, who appeals to me more at my current age, than in 1985. It was a great story. It kept me on the bicycle longer than I planned. I couldn't stop watching the show.

They run In The Heat Of The Night and other dramas. If you like old movies, or TV dramas, you'll love this timeless channel. Introduce your kids and grandkids to some great actors.
