The Wildcard Thursday prompt for "30-Day Blogging Challenge ON HIATUS
What's more important to you...one or two friends you can tell absolutely anything to, or any number of friends you can see only on certain occasions?

How many friends do I need?
Would I rather have one or two close friends I can tell anything to?
Would I rather have numerous friends I can see only on certain occasions?

Both types of friends have the advantages. I enjoy having both types because the meet different needs in my life. The friends I can tell anything to will listen to me rant without offering advice unless I ask. The friends I see on certain occasions give me a chance to get out and go to different social events without feeling award or a stranger. Sometimes it is difficult going to social events where I don't know anyone, but if an occasional friend is there I don't feel as shy or uncomfortable.

The "Blog City ~ Every Blogger's Paradise prompt for Day 796
Fog, Crossroads Stairway Use these words anyway you want in your writing entry today.

Driving through the fog
Headlight reflecting back at me
I ascended Cajon Pass

Mom and I were driving back from California when we encountered pea soup fog at Cajon Pass. I suppose we should have stopped and waited until morning when the fog would lift. However, we ascended the pass despite the visibility. I know we had a logical, what sounded like a logical, reason to mount the pass in the fog, but I can't remember what it was. We got back to Las Vegas safely and I now have an adventure and description I can use in a story.

Crossroads and stairways
Always make life interesting
Make the journey fun.
