Sunday Morning in Las Vegas
Jamál (Beauty), 10 Asmá’(Names), 173 BE - Sunday, August 28, 2016 AD

"One hour’s reflection is preferable to seventy years of pious worship."
Bahá’u’lláh

It's Sunday morning in Las Vegas. The sun is shining, someone in the neighborhood is either running a buzz saw or a robot car, and children are making happy noises. I got up later then usually this morning; therefore, I feel as if I'm running behind. I don't know if that's true or not because I didn't make any real plans for today. Right now, I'm making this entry while listening to a person outside talking to someone on her cellphone. I can hear here because I have the door and window open. I can't hear everything she says, just phrases now and then. From what I've picked up she needs someone to call her back or was expecting someone to call her besides the person she is talking to. Apparently whoever she needs to talk to is in L.A.

It's Sunday morning in Las Vegas, I've finished two writing.com mugs of coffee and had my first breakfast. This morning my first breakfast consisted of four cookies. I'm considering getting a couple of more cookies because I seem to be hungrier then normal. It could have something to do with my exciting walk this morning. On the way around the block I encountered a neighbor going home from the grocery store. When I walked up the alley someone in the apartment complex on the south side of the stone wall was cussing someone else out. I think the people were outside, but I wish they'd air their dirty laundry inside their own apartments. I like to meditate on my morning walk and listen to someone argue interrupts the spiritual mood of meditation and contemplation. Oh, well that's what happens when you can't take a walk in the forest or park.

God's Manifestation:
To Baha'u'llah

Again God's Beauty appeared,
Inf the form of the perfect man,
Teaching us God's laws.

He wrote words of eternal splendor,
Going beyond race or creed,
That speaks directly to the soul.

The Glory of God revealed,
New laws for modern man,
And ancient scriptures helped us to understand.

Author's Note: The translation of Baha'u'llah is the Glory of God.
