The Sunday News Prompt for "Blogging Circle of Friends
This week, Hurricane Hermine   hit parts of Florida before beginning to make its way up the east coast of the US. What's the worst inclement weather situation you can recall being a part of?

In 1955 an F5 tornado hit Blackwell, Oklahoma, destroying half of the city. I was only eight years old when the tornado hit in May of 1955. My most vivid memory of that storm was crowding into the root cellar behind our house at 1119 West College. My parents, grandparents, and siblings were all in the cellar with me. The three things I remember most about that experience was the smell, the darkness, and having to pee in the cellar's drainage hole. I think the most stressful part of the entire incident was peeing in the drain with my entire family in the cellar; true it was dark so no one could see what I was doing, but the experience was interesting.
