Questions About Poetry and War:
A poet writes words echoing music from the soul of creation.

A poet writes words
for unwritten tunes,
for music echoing
from the soul of creation,
while attempting to answer
pertinent questions.

Can the poet's words
extinguish
the fading dreams of war?

Can they bankrupt
the occupations supporting
war's shadow?

Can they starve the fear
feeding
war's dead laughter?
