Green ink

I write
in Spring's green ink
as tulips bloom and lilacs burst.
I'm dying.

Today,
I draw your heart in autumn-red.
I'm taking it with me,
sorry.

I leave you
January's sparkle and July's glory
and all that's warmed the winters
within me.
