Spending the night at The Lake
Fireworks on display

Barbecuing steak
Grandpa held Roman candles
His hands did not shake

I wore pink sandals
Grandma's special deviled eggs
Igloo with handles

I sunburned my legs
Mama soothed with vinegar
Drank sun tea with dregs

The Fourth of July
Watched fireworks light the night sky
