The Vessel

My soul is the sailor, and my body the vessel that carries my spirit through the ocean of life. My emotions are the sails that move me toward an unknown shore. Sometimes I feel the storms of difficulties that that test my faith and resolve. It is at these times that the Lord takes the wheel to steer me into the eye of the storm.

My vessel is weary, tired, and sleepy
from sailing numerous seas and oceans;
it just wants to rest in a quite cove,
but there is no wind to set it in motion.
