Giving Thanks:
To The Blessed Beauty

"We give you thanks, O God!"

In this day,
         when the forces of darkness surround,
         when the powers of terror attack,
         when the temples of religion crumble,
         and the righteous are oppressed:

We give you thanks, O Lord,
For all that you have given.

In this day,
         we give you thanks
         for the verses of hope concealed
                   in humanity's sacred scriptures,
         for the Glory of God,
         for the Prince of Peace,
         and for Christ returned
                   in the Father's Glory.
