The "Blog City ~ Every Blogger's Paradise prompt for Day 1276
It could be said that gardening like painting and photography is as much as an art as it is a passion and nature's abundant variety offers a seemingly limitless palette to the gardener, providing not just visual appeal but life-sustaining nourishment. What are your views on this?

I think gardening is an art for someone who has the talent for it. For me gardening is not an art. I find gardening either stressful or humorous, depending on whether flowering weeds or something remotely resembling an editable vegetable grows. I plant, I water, I pray, and I hope that I get some sort of crop from the seeds I put in the ground. I do not today, nor have I ever had, a "green thumb". Indeed, when it comes to plants of any type I have a "brown thumb". When a plant sees me, it treats me as a goddess and sacrifices itself. I have been known to kill cactus, which, I suspect, takes talent of some type.

The "Blogging Circle of Friends prompt for DAY 1763
"Next to power without honor, the most dangerous thing in the world is power without humor." - Eric Sevareid What do you think? Is Mr. Sevareid right or wrong?

I suspect this is what's wrong in Washington today. No one in Congress or the White House has a sense of humor. They take everything too seriously, and take personal offense at anything the public or the press says about them or anything they do. There was a time when politicians could laugh at themselves while the press and their constituents laughed with them, but not anymore. If you laugh at something stupid one of them does or says, that person takes offense. Have you seen any of their pictures, they either frown or have some sort of scary clown smirk on their face.
