October Mini-Challenge - Week 1, Day 2
Tuesday, October 3, 2017
Share some of your favorite Fall foods/snacks/recipes, and perhaps a memory to go along with them.

Fall Foods

Halloween and Thanksgiving,
days Grandma shared her cooking skills
with family
and the neighborhood.

Life was so much simpler
and safer,
when I was a child
tasting Grandma's cooking.

On Halloween
she made cookies:
oatmeal,
peanut butter,
and sugar.

All the kids
in the neighborhood
went to Grandma's house
for homemade cookies
and to show off their Halloween costumes:
"Trick-or-Treat, Grandma,"
they shouted when she answered the door.

For Thanksgiving,
she made pies:
pumpkin,
mincemeat,
and apple or cherry.
