Ripples

Ripples on the ocean of life
courage and strife,
both contribute to the rhythm
of living creatures.

Humanity stands at the apex
of physical creation,
and at the nadir
of spiritual existence.

Humanity survives,
and moves forward because
it has the physical stamina
and the spiritual courage
to confront
the evils
some of its
citizens create.

Ripples spread
out from the brave and the bold
overcoming
the evils that could destroy
the planet.
