Make Me:
A Lover's Prayer

Make me a living martyr, O Lord,
Sacrificing self for Thy Cause,
A candle melting
         beneath the fire of Thy love.

Make me a living martyr, O Lord,
Sacrificing fear for Thy Cause,
A moth burning
         in the flame of Thy service.

Make me a living martyr, O Lord,
Sacrificing ego for Thy Cause,
A polished mirror
         reflecting Thy Manifestation.

Make me a living martyr, O Lord,
Sacrificing doubt for Thy Cause,
A pure crystal
         shining with the light of Thy faith.
