Morning Meditation

Allah-u-Abha!
Intoned in morning's silence
God's praise on His lover's lips
empowers the faithful soul
to ascend out of doubt's crypt.

Allah-u-Abha!
Tunes the lover's soul
to the divine frequency
that unites within one fold
all humanuity.

Allah-u-Abha!
Centers our wayward thoughts
on the All Glorious Beloved,
so that free from fear and terror
we can proclaim the Cause of God.

Allah-u-Abha!
Eternal life's exlixir
that heals love's broken winged bird,
so that it may ascend in joyous flight
through all the worlds of God.

Allah-u-Abha!
Wakes the sleeping soul
to the light of reality
and reveals to the lover
Divine unity.

Allah-u-Abha!
Intoned in morning's silence
God's name on His lover's lips
exiles vain imaginings
and focuses the lover's thought
on the Almighty.
