Nobody Objected

I always said yes!
No matter
]how it inconvenienced me,
I always said yes...

...and nobody objected.

My own objections didn't matter,
because I always said yes;
I said yes by my silence;
I said yes by my inactions;
I said yes
because it was easier...

...and nobody objected.

Then one day I said no!
I refused to agree;
I refused to give in;
I refused to back down...

...and everybody objected.
