Meditations About Choosing My Own Spiritual Path

I

Adrift in the darkness of space,
I am caught
in the gravity fields of two different stars,
each pulling at me from opposite directions.

II

After
aeons of struggle,
I release my attachment
to the elder star.

III

Moving toward the younger star,
I listen to its song.
It is the same song,
which Christ--
the older star was singing.

IV

Reaching out,
I embrace Baha'u'llah:
my Lord and Savior.

V

As I intoned God's Most Great Name
I turned the key of love
opening the door
to the Kingdom of God.
