Midweek Reflections On Summer
‘Idál (Justice), 15 Núr (Light) 176 B.E. - Wednesday, June 19, 2019

At exactly 11:54 AM on Friday, June 21, summer arrives, which is 9:54 AM here in Las Vegas. The triple digit temperatures for the past few days has given the impression it is already summer. The birds sing until the temperatures rise, after the temperatures reach about 95 degrees the birds stop singing. After the temperatures reach 100 degrees the birds stop walking around and withdraw into their nests or the shade until the evening temperatures drop.

“What good is the warmth of summer, without the cold of winter to give it sweetness.”
John Steinbeck

Summer and winter,
Spring and autumn,
each season has its ow charm.

Summer is here,
with triple digit temperatures
and summer storms.

The best part of summer
is cold watermelon
and sweet iced tea.
