Image for BCOF members to put in their blogs Prompt: "Would you rather read only one book for a year or only watch one television show for a year, and which book or show would you pick?"

I would never read just one book or watch only one show per year. I like to stay busy. I worked for a while but lost my job due to health problems. Therefore I read a lot and watch television a lot. I read more than I watch television because the tube has nothing but reruns on. I read a lot of westerns. I think I have read more Louis La'Mour and William Johnstone than anybody else around here. I'm getting bored with westerns though so I am going to switch and read sci fi or something.

I'll be searching for things to do for a few more weeks. Then college starts again. I will graduate this December with an RBA in psychology from Marshall University.

Technology is way cool but we do have to limit our dependence on it. Some people have no idea how to live without high tech gadgets. If they had to live the way people did in the 19th century or the 18th Century or prior, they would be lost. I'm an old farm boy. We were poor so we did without a lot of high tech junk. I learned to use hand tools. I weeded the garden with a hoe, not high tech weed killers. The work was hard but I survived and could again.
