30DBC day 4 Genre Selections
I went to see Little Women yesterday at the movies, there has been so many different versions of this story and this was pretty good. I used to love to read the original Louisa May Alcott stories though when I was small. The smell of a bookstore picking out a new book is one of my best childhood memories. There were follow up books if I remember correctly “Little Men} and “Jo’sBoys”.” I remember how I cried when Beth died 😢
The genre of books I’m usually drawn to are family dramas and Romantic Comedy. I used to love serial killer books or even horror but since getting older I don’t want to put images into my head that will disturb my dreams.
We are going to see the “Gentlemen “ movie next week, only because it looks like something we both may like. Actually finding a TV programme, movie or reading matter that both my husband and I enjoy seems to get harder these days.
It’s easy for me to buy something for John though, all I have to do is look at the blurb on the back of a book and as long the key words of CIA, Russia, Aircraft or Spy are there it will be a sure fire winner!😂
