I Could Have Done a Little More Than Twelve Paragraphs

It’s true, that I only got twelve paragraphs yesterday at work for my Water Wars movie Treatment. But they were all four, five, or six liners. So, I think that it was a good day for this scriptwriting project. Especially since I had a problem at work.

The problem at work yesterday wasn’t work itself. It’s was a very typical Saturday. In fact, it was slower than that yesterday. One of the slowest days that I have had in a long time. If it isn’t the longest one so far. The problem is related to work. But it wasn’t work. It was the sun again. That is the problem I had at work.

For almost three and a half hours I had the sun trying to blind me. That did slow down my writing a little bit because it’s hard for me to write when I don’t have a desk to do it with. It’s hard to do it when you do it in your lap with using a laptop. At least it is for me. It didn’t slow me down that much, though. I still got six of the twelve written during that time.

Work or the sun wasn’t the only reason why I didn’t get more writing done yesterday. In fact, I could have gotten three or four more paragraphs written. After all, I had about forty-five minutes until the end of my shift to do them. But I choose not to do them because they were the start of Act Two aka Establishing Shots.

I have so other good news too. At least I think that it’s good. It looks like it may be good for me. And it may even be good for some of the other writers here too. If they aren’t already doing it already. What am I writing about? It’s dictation. That what I am writing about.

True, I haven’t done any dictation when it comes to this project. But I have done a couple of tests. And it sure does look like I may be able to do my writing this way if I decide to do it. I have only done one recording so far. But it worked out very well.

There were a few mixed-up words. And I didn’t use any punctuation yet. But overall it was very good. I did do another recording just to be sure. Only I haven’t tried to dictate with it yet. I’m not sure if I am going to do that before I go to sleep or after I wake up.

Today I’m going to continue working on my Water Wars scriptwriting project. And I think that I may get a lot of it done too. Not only is it Sunday, and it’s usually very slow on Sunday, but there isn’t supposed to be any sun out there. Of course, they have said that before and there was. So, I’m going to count on that. But I will on the number of paragraphs I should be able to do. I should be able to get at least ten to fifteen of them done. Plus however many Establishing Shots that I may have.
