Barely Eighteen

That’s right, I got eighteen paragraphs written yesterday at work. That includes fifteen scene paragraphs and the three Establishing Shots. But it took me almost my whole shift to write them, though. And several times I wasn’t sure that I was going to get them down.

It wasn’t because of work like it usually is. after all, it was a very normal Saturday yesterday at work. Not very busy at all. In fact, it’s one of the slowest Saturdays that I have ever had. If it’s not the slowest one. That’s how busy it was at work yesterday.

I can’t blame the weather either. True, it was sunny almost my whole shift. But I treated it like everyone else does with the blinds down. So, it really wasn’t too much of a threat to my writing. It may have slowed me down a tiny bit. But it wasn’t that much, if any, of a slowdown at all.

Eighteen paragraphs in one day is a very good day of writing if you ask me. At least I think that it is. Being Saturday, I was hoping to get five more of them down. But I knew very quickly that I would be lucking if I got fifteen scenes written. And that what I did.

Don’t ask me why I didn’t have the time to do five more paragraphs. Because I don’t know why. I got plenty of sleep last night. So, that’s not the reason why. And it wasn’t because of work or the sun. Then what is the reason? I don’t know the answer to that one. And I probably never will.

Today, I’m going to continue working on Act Four of my Water Wars scriptwriting project. I don’t know how many paragraphs I will get written today. But I should be able to get at least fifteen of them down. I’m hoping to get twenty. Only I’m going to believe that until it happens.

Getting twenty isn’t out of the question, though. I still could write that many paragraphs. After all, it is a Sunday. And if it’s as busy at work today as it was yesterday, then I may be able to do it. I’ll be able to tell you that when I do my next blog entry.
