Sinterklaas Kapoentje (and remix)

Sinterklaas Kapoentje is December 5th in Holland. And elsewhere... I remember Marloes explaining the holiday to me when we were in Orosi, Costa Rica (the owners of the hostel were also Dutch!). Petra explains what it is in "Saint Nicholas and Pete"  I had a Dutch friend here who celebrated it. Frances always made bags of cookies or chocolates or something. One year she gifted me "Skin so Soft" for my travels. I still have it. Frances and Tweetie from December 2008:

This is a very old traditional song. The shoes and boots became stockings in the USA.

The song itself is a short poem: 6/6/6/6 with a similar ending -je which is a diminuative. To make a silly remix (because silly works and is memorable) the same cadence is important. Since English rhymes on stressed syllables this might work:
