A murder mystery set in the early 1980's complicated by numerous vested interests.
A Murder at the bottom of track 2 in the Old Shed at The Malvern Tram Depot, in an old electric tram starts an investigation into the control and power structure of the Melbourne establishment, Catholic and Masonic. A Senior Inspector from the Malvern Police is the lead investigator and has to deal with his Fathers loyalties and his brothers on top of solving who done it.

This covers the early 1980's where I was working for the Melbourne and Metropolitan Tramways Board, a period that lasted 13 years. I came across the Mason/Catholic Rivalry early on in my career which overlaid the Union Battles at the time. It was definitely there and permeated through a number of the government organisations, including the Board of Woks, Railways, and other QANGO (Quasi Autonomous Non-Government Organistation). Proof of such goings on is difficult, so a novel format is indicated.

Although this period included the communist and left-labor control of the Unions, what was at stake was the Management of these organisations, The Melbourne and Metropolitan Board of Works (MMBW), the Victorian Railways, Melbourne and Metropolitan Tramways Board, and dozens of smaller ones in the country and outer suburbs of Melbourne. The Education Department and the Victorian Police were also implicated in this power struggle between the two major immigrant communities in the city.
