On June 13th I went on my vacation for this year. I'm going to go through day-by-day events because I wrote it all down to share with you. (Since I think I promised some of you a total recount. *Laugh*)

At the end of each entry I'm going to put pictures from that day and place for you to see. *Smile*

Saturday the 13th

Boarding the ship was crazy. There was the 3 hour drive down to Baltimore where the ship was, the long line of cars trying to get in, and then waiting to check in. All of it took a long time and was rather annoying because I was excited to get on the ship. lol.

After getting on the ship it was roughly 3 pm and we hadn't had lunch so we went to the lunch buffet and it was yummy. All different kinds of food from Italian to Asian and even Mexican. There was something for everyone. We left port around 5 pm.

That evening they had a "Welcome Aboard" show with the Carnival Pride (that's the ship's name that I was on) Singers and Dancers. It was a fun show to watch. Then I went to bed because it had been a long day.

Sunday

There was food all the time on board and I ended up eating 5 meals, except that they were all really small and evenly spread out through the day.

On the ship at dinner each night, I decided to try something new, at least one thing, each night. On Sunday I tried Strawberry Bisque, Lobster, and Puff Pastry. I liked all three of them. This was the formal night in the dining room.

The show for Sunday was a Jazz night show. This show starred the Singers and Dancers again and they were all wonderful. They had some cool outfits too. *Laugh* I can't share pictures because of copyright laws and such.

This is the first day that I played at the Casino, since I'm legal. Wooh!

Monday

Played my first game of bingo on board; Del Sol Bingo. Didn't win at bingo but won $2 on the scratch-off cards. Later I played Spa Bingo and was close to winning a few of the 5 games but still didn't win there.

At dinner I tried prosciutto, calamari, and eggplant. Three things I thought I'd never try I actually did and again, liked all three.

That night was the Marriage and Love show. There were 3 couples - the newest in the lounge, the oldest, and a middle couple. There were 10 questions and one that stuck out to me, given for the guy to answer and woman to guess what he'd say: "If you were on a deserted island and could only have one with you, would you rather have a Missionary or Hooker?" The newlywed said Missionary to stay on wife's good side, the middle one said Hooker, and the oldest couple (65 years together) was the funniest. He said "Hooker in the Missionary position." This was the funniest answer of the night. *Laugh*

Tuesday

We docked at Grand Turk on Tuesday at around 7 am. Got room service at 6 and then went on the island at 7:30. The water was crystal clear and fun to swim in. My sis and I rented a snorkel and looked around there and we found an Anchor and Chain, Buckets, An Anchor-like Weight, and a lot of fish.

Also on Grand Turk, I had my first legal alcoholic drink - at Margaritaville no less! It was a strawberry daiquiri and it was quite yummy. *Bigsmile* Yay for the drinking age being 18 on the islands! I only like fruity drinks though. lol.

Dinner - tried Prawns, Zucchini, Clams in shell, and Tiramisu. I only liked the Tiramisu and the prawns weren't bad but didn't like the zucchini or clams in their shells.

The show for this night was themed as "Around the World." It was an awesome show and my favorite parts were Ireland, Japan and Britain.

Wednesday

We ported at 9 am but didn't get off the boat until about 10:30. This was our beach port so we got to swim a lot. The island here, or at least part of it, is owned by Carnival so it's a private beach. And the island is Half Moon Cay (pronounced key).

The island was really beautiful to see but you had to be there to see the entire beauty behind it.

We all had lunch on the island and it wasn't the best but I tried jerk chicken out of the experience.

I got burnt on the island, my shoulders and face mostly, and it hurt but only for Wednesday. It felt better the next day.

We went back to the boat around 2:30 and then it started to rain and thunder and lightning but only for a little bit and then it was clear and sunny again. At dinner I tried Filet Mignon and it was really good.

The show was a comedian: Lewis Nixon. I think he was pretty funny and fun to watch.

Thursday

Ported at 7 am at Freeport and got off the boat around 9:30 am. On this island we took a glassbottom boat tour and I took a ton of pictures, not that I can post them all here because there are around 100.

While in Freeport, I bought a ton of little keychains for my friends, a shirt, a bracelet with the 6 color rainbow and a hematite ring. Here you can see the ring and bracelet:

We got back on the boat around 2:15 pm and then sailed off at 3.

I played in the Casino some more and was actually carded for the 2nd time. I blame my baby face. *Laugh* I played a dollar and then ended up doubling it (of course, that's after spending $10. lol)

Dinner - tried escargo and baked alaska. The baked alaska was very good but the escargo was just nasty. At least now I know I don't like snails. *Laugh*

There was both a normal show and an adult show on Thursday night. The normal shows had some very good dancing and they used some fun props. There was also a juggler/comedian and he was funny and good at juggling. The adult show was with Lewis Nixon again and he was still hilarious.

Friday

This was a sea day, heading back to the Baltimore port. I played bingo at 10:45 for $1199 but didn't win that. If I had I'd still be in shock. I looked at the video arcade on deck and it was boring as well as a waste of time and money.

There was an art auction on board but I didn't want to bid so I just went and looked around. There were 4-5 really good pieces of work that I liked and would love to have gotten but they had to have sold for a lot.

I went to a watch raffle and didn't win and then joined mom and sis on the breast cancer walk. After that I played the 4:15 bingo and didn't win bingo but I won the bag full of stuff that we'd been putting cards in the raffle for all week long! The bag had over $150 worth of stuff in it! *Bigsmile**Delight* Because I won this I had to totally repack my suitcase to fit it all. lol. Played the 9:45 bingo too but didn't win that either.

Saw a beautiful sunset just looking over the balcony on the ship.

Dinner - tried Lobster Bisque and Prime Rib. Both were good and I liked them.

The show was the Legends show where fellow passengers who had won karaoke went on stage and sang as famous singers. We had Elton John, Elvis, Madonna, Sinatra, Garth Brooks, and Ricky Martin plus a few others I can't remember.

After all of that I went to the Casino and played some more. Dad gave me $3 to play with and I ended up tripling that amount! But then I played a little more and only slightly more than doubled it before cashing out but I still had a ton of fun there. But still, I won! Wooh!

Saturday

Saw Baltimore as we were coming in to port.

Waited in line to get off the boat, then went quickly through customs and out to the car and headed home.

That's my whole cruise! If you want to see some pictures not posted here, including some decor of the Carnival Pride cruise ship and other pictures of the islands, go here:

Congrats to Reyah for getting yellow! My Rising Star has reached yellow, and in just a little over a month after becoming a Star! *Shock* Besides that, I don't think anything else major has been going on. Been concentrating on school and trying to see how well that's going. I had to write an essay for english and I'm planning to post it....just as soon as I can come up with the proper works cited page for it. LOL.

Really, people are afraid of change. At least some people. I used to count myself in that number until recently. I used to be afraid for anything to change because it had been the same every year for so long that nothing very exciting happened and I was used to all that happened.

Now that I've grown up some, I can accept change as it comes because, as it stands, change has helped to mold my life and improve it. I know that change is inevitable and it comes with what life is.

The world will change, life will change, everything will change at some point in time. It's time to ride the tide of the world, go where it will, and put my input in where needed. *Smile*
