Good to see the list of five is still alive and well.

I can't believe you reached adulthood without any teeth problems, though I do know America has always been far out in front as regards dental treatment.

Animals are such sneaky creatures when it comes to food. I need a degree to work out my cat's preferences which seem to change on a daily basis. Hope your pooches continue to like the new food.

I was really impressed by the ice cream choices in the US and wish we had more variety here. Pretty ordinary flavours, but I still eat it and won't share.

Soccer is far easier to watch and understand than football

I could do with one of those ironing boards as I have little storage space. I hate ironing too, but seem to have to do all the family's now.

I love the sound of that dress. Wearing any dress would be quite a novelty after such a long winter.

It must be lovely to have such musical talent in the family. Glad Fluff is feeling better too.

My glass collection is terrible. I keep meaning to buy some new ones, but other things come along and take priority and any spare funds. When I win the Lottery...

Sounds like you have some real songbirds in your family. Where'd they get the talent, from you or hubby? I couldn't carry a tune in a bucket, but I love to sing. Debi is the same way, but we make a joyful noise together.

Sonys, Sonys, always Sonys. Every time we pass through the Jackson area, we have to stop at Sonys in Brandon. Once, when we were visiting my brother in Orlando FL, Debi found out there was one in the area. Not being familiar with the area, it took us an hour to find it. But by golly we ate at Sonys. As we were walking out we agreed it was not as good as the one in Brandon.

Happy Birthday to Matt. Gosh, 16! Growing up so fast. Seems like only yesterday they were toddlers knocking over the displays in Bass Pro Shop.

I think everyone in England has a cough right now. It's reassuring in a way as my own has been lingering for weeks, though it is the aftermath of a very debilitating cold. I hope yours doesn't develop into anything nasty.

I don't think cough and cold medicines are much use, but like you I take quite a few supplements when I remember. Echinacea seems to ward off colds in general.
A good diet and rest should hopefully get rid of any lurking bugs, though this time of year there seem to be more about than at other times.

My whole life is based on lists of 5 so welcome to the club.

Last winter I seemed to get soaked every time I went out. I'm hoping it will be a drier winter, but like you I shall attempt to stay indoors if precipitation threatens. My cat doesn't like being wet, but often can't resist going out then demanding warm towels on return.

I used to read Reader's Digest many years ago and didn't realise it was still going. I wonder how much it has changed.

Good service by the pizza place. I hope you all enjoyed it. I'm on a diet...again...tomorrow...soon.

I do find Apple excellent at customer service so hope they get your phone sorted soon despite the wait. Also your car. It's a nightmare when things go wrong at this time go year and of course that's when they do.

I don't think I know what Diet Mountain Dew is, but I do love a cup of tea. Hot not iced, but I do love iced coffee when it's ever warm enough here for such indulgence. I feel I was created to be drawn to alcohol, but must limit it as part of another weight loss effort.

Teenagers cleaning their rooms?

Well, it is the time of miracles I guess.

I know the feeling as regards blogging gaps. Life speeds up as we age I swear.

My Mum also used to visit the cemetery every Christmas morning. I treasure the memories of those lovely morning walks now as it wasn't as far away as yours.

It's not easy to discuss these things, but I know from experience it's important people know what we want once we're gone. I'm glad you discussed it with your Mum.

Miss Fluff

One of my dogs had to go to the vet today. She seems to be in a little pain - she yelped the other day when my daughter sat next to her on the couch. The vet thinks she is getting arthritis and gave her some medicine. They want her to come back next Friday for bloodwork and X-rays just to make sure. Her name is Fluff. Fluff used to be her nickname. When we got her, she was named Bitsy, but she was so extremely Fluffy that we called her Fluff. Finally we called her that so many times that she came to see it as her name. And it was a good thing, too. My mother got a new dog and named her Bitsy. I tell my mother all the time that she stole my dogs name, to which she always replies "Well, your dog had another name you could use." So far I haven't been able to come up with an answer to that.
