This is a book about my life's journey. I didn't want to do another diary. Instead I want to muse about odd thoughts that pop up in my mind and remember things from the past that I haven't really told to anyone before. Perhaps even talk about the craft of writing from time to time. I hope you'll meander down the path with me for a spell and see where we go.
I do travel with my lecture, but I have not gone to NJ before. I'm mainly a west coaster and most of my events are in California, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington. If I put together a zoom presentation, I'll post about it in my notebook to let WDCers know. One of my online writing societies is talking about sponsoring me on their presentation system and I think it would be open to visitors. Have to wait and see.
Thanks Hunter. This is a taste of what I teach in my "Starting The Engine of Your Author Platform" lecture that I give at conferences and book clubs. I'm glad you found the article to be helpful.
It is my pleasure to do the research. :) My favorite tool of the bunch is Hemmingway. I use it all the time to do a quick check on my work. It doesn't catch everything, but it can be a real time saver.
You continue to inspire me with the amazing info. on writing tools you provide.
On another note: Noticed in your bio that you are getting a trilogy ready for publishing. Congratulations! Sounds like your writing career is taking off.
*cough* I already DID google them and peeked into Staples website about them. Too much "options paralysis" for me "right now" but I'll let the idea of those simmer at the back of my mind for a while and see what happens. Though do not be surprised if in the future I ask you further questions about how you use them, etc.. Just not right now.
And I write 8k-14k novelettes, not 20k+ novellas. Though that might be about to change. It seems after all these years, I am not the only person that likes reading mini novels that can be read in one or two days, lol.
ARC by staples is a notebook system similar and compatible with Levenger's Circa. It is a notebook bound by discs. Go to the Staples website to see examples. :)
Don't dispair that you write novellas. Short fiction is HOT right now. Turn them into ebooks. :)
