A day in the life of... me! Sometimes I need to rant. Sometimes I have something burning on my mind. Sometimes I'm so angry I feel like reverting back to old coping mechanisms. So I thought a journal was a good idea!

I feel ranting is an important part to life, everyone does it to some degree or another and it's not healthy to bottle things up inside. So for those moments where I feel a rant (or just a general thought) and want to get it off my chest, here it will be!

However, ranting is not everything. Sometimes I just feel like I want to share something with someone, and often there is nobody to listen (wow that makes me sound sad! I do have friends but I tend to let them do the talking rather than share). So here I can get things off my chest, rant or be happy, whatever the mood

It will be nice when you are able to come back and write some catch up for us. I would love to know how your Novel is doing on the market and how the Zombie writing is coming along. It's ok to be ranty and self pitying once in a while. Got to get it out of your system somehow. Give the cat catnip treats. It turns any cat mellow quickly. That just might be the trick.

If it's any help, I completely understand your cat problem. We have a nine month old ragdoll kitten who looks fully grown. And he has the habit of biting when he gets revved up. My partner and I have score marks all over the backs of our hands, and ragdolls are supposed to be docile! We've tried a couple of tactics that sometimes work; a spray bottle of water (we bought half a dozen of them through EBay from China) and a quick spray in his face will have him backing off real quick. Alternatively (but you need to get quite close for thsi), blow in his face. That puts cats off.

It also helps to have toys that they can vent their aggression on; we have one toy, a revolving ball with flashing lights and an attached "tail" that flicks around. He gets quite excited about that, but when he's playing, it's not a good time to get your hands in the way - unless you're really into lacerations!

Good luck with your "evil" cat. But I'd be willing to bet you wouldn't want to be without him/her.
