An attempt at Haiku's each day beginning 2013 |
This is a well-intentioned beginning to what I hope will be a haiku a day, or thereabouts. |
a sunset dinner small box with bamboo coasters Tom Petty's tour soon |
May gray is still here but in eight days it will change June gloom's nearly here. |
Heavy, thick fog veils pierced by thin shards of sunlight cause swiss cheese morning. |
funnel clouds touch down wiping lives off of the map leaving souls behind |
tick-tock time flies by gauged nightly by sun's marching long days, shorter nights |
words of love uttered carried up on angel wings vows sealed by sunset |
Orioles mating hide-and-seek within palm trees silently we watch |
returning to gray both in spirits and weather gloom and doom surrounds |
damp ocean breezes chill the air, cooling things down whiplash is our friend |
sweat dripping from brow fan’s breeze cooling the trails summer came early |
hot night restless dog owl hooting in the distance a disturbing sound |
sun dappled oak trunk red painted chicken standing resting in the shade ninety-three degrees a hot Mothers Day ahead cool blue lake glimmers |
Happy mothers day won’t be happening for me he went back to jail |
Mice and termites gone concrete futures being built barring them from us |
Concrete thoughts shattered awaken by jackhammers bleary eyed mournings |
Sun comes flooding in so do memories of past empty kitchen weeps |
head banging on oak the message is heard loudly hungry woodpecker |
spring purging is done erasing previous lives it's time to rebuild |
For Paul on our second anniversary! Frogs and ladybugs symbols of our lasting love delight in a box |
flames in the night sky eerie glowing horizon sad beauty to see |
